Mark Wallage

Creative Director

Mark has been producing major events for over 25 years. Holding a BA with a double major in Psychology, he has created dazzling opening ceremonies for international Conferences throughout Australia and Asia, often incorporating complex video and film sequences.

Mark is known for his skill as a live event director and show caller, and was employed in that role for the Sydney & Beijing Olympics; the Melbourne Commonwealth Games; and the Asian Games in Doha in 2006. Mark is recognized as one of Australia’s leading award show producers and is often called to speak at industry events on the topic.

Inge Garofani

General Manager Conferences

Inge joined CEM in early 2014 following a contract role with CEM in 2011. Inge has almost 25 years experience managing events for a variety of clients. Inge is also recognised by the industry body, Meetings & Events Australia, as an Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM), as well as being a Certified Event Manager (CEM) with Professional Conference Organisers Australia. Inge has served on the Executive Manager of the Business Events Council of Australia for 2 years and worked with Australia’s largest PCO group for 13 years, the last 5 years as their Executive Manager of Operations. Inge’s experience ranges from small national events of 100 delegates to large international meetings of 5,000. Inge provides her level of expertise to the whole CEM team ensuring team development and staff growth.

Damien Parsons

Sponsorship & Exhibition Manager

Damien brings to CEM more than 15 years experience in almost every aspect of hospitality, banqueting and conference venue management. Damien looks after CEM’s own marketing and is responsible for ensuring our clients achieve their sponsorship and exhibition targets.

Kalia Jeffries

Conference Coordinator – Registration & Accommodation

Kalia joined CEM in 2014 as a recent graduate with a B Bus from UTS. Kalia’s role is to support the conference team with database development, delegate enquiries, registration, accommodation group management and  event fulfilment.

Art Director
Having worked with a number of leading creative agencies and television networks in Australia, Asia and Europe for over 20 years, Peter’s expertise in graphic design, animation, logo design, special effects and video is second to none.

Valerie Gowen

Financial Controller
Valerie is a qualified Financial Controller with over 20 years’ experience in the meetings and events industry. As well as managing CEM’s financial affairs, Val assists in budget preparation and GST matters for a wide variety of conferences under CEM management
